ok so im running into a whole bunch of problems with my maxima. first a sticking gas pedal now my speedometer doesnt work. the mechanic said that the speed sensor is fine so he is sayin i may need a new cluster.

can i use a 2000 maxima cluster for my 2001 maxima? both the cars are 5 speed.. please help me out guys. thanks in advance!

 

get a new cluster, while your at it, put in the reverse indiglo gauges... if they made it for the 5.5, i would get it

 

eh..im not really trying to spend 500+ on a new cluster when i can get a used one for little over 100..considering i already spent like 2k in repairs already..

 

wow, well, new as is a newer one than your broken one, not new new.

How many Miles on the car? does the Odometer and trip odometer still work?

I have my doubts that the speedo is no good, unless someone has been tampering with it. Does it move at all? Even when you first put your key in before you start the car?
