iv searched found nothing
installed safc today and now my car wont rev past 2500 and doesnt feel smooth revving

can anyone help
car is an 02 6spd

 

Did you make sure the sensor setting is 1 in 1 out? If not, it really messes with the MAF signal and could cause those symptoms. Make sure you initialize your SAFC first (see instruction manual on apexi website...it resets all settings).

 

You tripped fail safe mode. Reset your ECU and set the in/out correctly.

 

Also. Make sure that you actually have the IN/OUT wires for the maf oriented correctly. Basically, the car is telling you that it doesn't see a maf.

 

Check the wiring.

 

alright thanks guys, i knew it wasnt seeing maf, i just left maf wire out for now so it went back to running ok, also the setting under hot wire should be 1 in 1 out thats what it was at before.

 

So your problem is solved? What are your future plans for tuning and current mods?

 

yeah well i just put the maf wire back to pcm.. did not go to safc.. a few hours later i reconnected the maf signal to safc and it works fine,
as far as mods-
intake spacers, short intake, vias delete, obx v2's, cattman fast cat and cattman catback for now
