tranny rebuild

so the other day i posted the thread "why transmission, why" and some of you guys insisted to replace not rebuild. I am not having much luck finding a low mileage used tranny in the south florida area, or online for that matter (all are upwards of 100k) I did, however, find a local guy that has been rebuilding trannys for over 20 years. He calls himself the transmission doctor and is offering me a complete rebuild, top to bottom, including solenoids and a new torque conv. for 1100 flat. AND, its with a 3 year, UNLIMITED mileage warranty. This was by far the best quote i have seen thus far, even though this is only my second day searching for people. What are ur thoughts?

keep him on the back burner and search for a few more days - whatever you do get a shift kit and the edge racing torque converter =)
