I noticed a carbon fiber front grill for the 5.5 gen on ebay and I was always kind of a carbon freak as a teenager and wondered if anyone had this or something similar? I kind of like the look with just the badge removed, but I want to look at all my options.

I've got some shopped photos here, and maybe some useful discussion.

But I still haven't done anything about the grill. It's just talk.

That's also a 5th gen with the CF grill. Won't look the same so not a fantastic comparison pic.

To Roch: Get the CF grill and paint the mesh flat black = Sexiness

Isnt he asking for a 5th gen with a cf grille? Anyway, it should be close enough to get the idea

As for Bigorangexj here's Tunermaxima3000's thread I got the pictures from.

Regarding the two pictures, does anyone know what lip that is? Looks like angel eyes too?

Its a 5th gen with a stillen lip. However i believe you have a 5.5 so your lip will look different. The headlights can be bought from eBay which come with projectors and halo rings however you will lose the OEM xenon kit and the build quality isn't so great.

Heres a pic of my 5.5 gen with the stillen front lip and badge-less grill

I'm still considering it. I only want to do small, inexpensive things (like this) in 2011, because I'm getting rid of the Maxima in 2012. You can see now why I was interested in what you were doing with your grill.

@ Roch, especially since you're not planning on keeping it i wouldnt dump any money into it. thats just a personal opinion though. but that money you about to dump in the max, you could save and have ready for the new toy

I hear that. But if I don't waste money and time on the car, then I'll have to do chores around the house, spend time with the kids, or go back to the gym. So if you look at it realistically, it's not like I have any choice.

Just keep modding.

Dude, I never mentioned the wife. She always gets attention. Happy to do it. And yes, it is a magical stick, thank you.

I have to stop now. Too much OT on this awesome thread.

Well done sir.

I would just consider resale when modding. Cosmetic UPgrades do usually result in quicker sale closer to asking price if done properly.

Everything else you usually lose money.

\\

The OP just said 5.5 grill, nothing about his car's year.
If he was thinking of doing my mod I imagine the questions would not be so simple.

FYI the 2000/2001 grill is NOT removable you can't just buy a grill and put it in.

Trust me

You should start taking off all your mods now and sending them over here minus the sprint booster
