I thought it was 20,000 units (hence the 20th Anniversary, but I could be wrong)

Everyone that I know who has a Max (with the exception of my
next door neigbor) is in their 20's or early-mid 30's.

I'm 47 and have a 2K1 SE 5SPD. Courtesy FSTB, ADCO ASB, K&N, Yokohama V rated tires; It's damned near as fun as my '78 TransAm 400CI 4SPD was. My wife has a 2K1 GLE and loves it, having come from a '95 Quest. I think it would take a 5 Series BMW to elcipse the SE. I may do that in a year or so but, for now, no complaints.

Income: Considerably above that which was stated.

The 20th anniversary refers to the fact that the Maxima has been a production car since 1981...20 years.

Well I know that. I didn't think they only produced 10,000 units, but maybe you are right now that I think about it.

Well, guessing that a lot of us financed our cars...they probably already have it...and with none of the BS that half this board likely shovels.

I think the stats for 5th gen owners are much closer to the demographic because 4th gens are passed down to kids far more often... I'm nowhere near any of the stats posted in age, income, or children ( ) but at least I own the car.

no need to laugh at those who still make payments. Some a better off, and some are worse off. In a few years the situation may change. I could not afford an SE, but bought a bare-bone car because of my love for Maxima. Gotta appreciate that

I make enough for food, gas, insurance, mods every now and then, but nothing else.

broke college student life sucks!

most people on the org are in the low to mid 20s. I think it's unfair to count this site in because this site represents a small maxima owner community which actually enjoys the full benefits of this great car Obviously, the younger generation is more into car modification then the older guys. You go to a civic Si forum and you will probably not find one person over 25. with the average age being 19-20.

avg. age: 48
married: 85% (seems kinda high to me)
income: $66,000

age: 16
married: haha (see age)
income: parents pockets!

i'm about to be a 2002 maxima buyer
