00-01 SE Vs Accord V6...and "ricer" CRX

So, today, I decided to take the ol' CRX out for a little drive and do some chores (i love having 5 days off of work). I'm driving down a pretty desolate 2 lane road (4 lanes total) and coming to a stop light. I see a lowered blue accord 4 dr V6, 6G...stock exhaust, stock rims. To the right of it, a lowered black 5g maxima SE(not ADMANs).

I pull up behind the accord, hearing the Maxima rev on the Accord. Neat, I get to watch a race.

Light turns green, Maxima revs up, takes off. Immediately gains a car on the accord while the accord sits on the line a second too long. Accord leaps off the line with some tire spin and keeps the Max at it's front bumper. After that, the Maxima just pulls on the Accord. I was following them with some haste, but didn't want to get involved in their race...yet.

The Maxima flips on his hazards giving the Accord an eyeview. The accord was probably a 1.5 car length back before the Maxima flipped his hazards. The next intersection, the Accord makes a quick right turn and spins his tires while flooring it around.

I pull up next to the Maxima. I was expecting him to beging revving his engine...which he did. I only looked over to him, tightened my harness, and inched forward.

I can see him rolling back and giving it some gas to stay even with my bumper, i know he was preparing for the light change. Moments later, green light. I get the hole shot on him and make it to the middle of the intersection before he gets off the line. I wind first gear out and overrev it a bit and shift at 8500rpm (very bad on stock valve-springs), I keep the car length I had on him from the stop and gain a half a car just before my second gear shift.

Second gear, he gains some of my lead back, and shortens it to a car length. At around 7000rpm, i pull on him more and shift into third at 8200rpm. He drops back to 1.5cars. I'm at around 65-70mph. Third gear, he doesn't budge. Doesn't lose any, doesn't gain...top of third, i'm approaching 95mph on a public street...i let off with him about 1.5 car lengths behind me.

We get to the next intersection and he asks what I had done, I tell him and he mentions he has a K&N drop-in and muffler. He gives a thumbs up, i return the favour and we went our seperate ways. Really nice guy actually.

In general Maxima drivers are very cool (thumbs up)
In general Accord V6 drivers are whiney punk kids (hard right turn and squeal)

nice races

yeah, the SCCA Solo2 handle got tiresome and other things... I don't only race autocross, I don't want to give "SCCA" a bad name cause of my antics, and I needed a change. yeah, the Maxima sounded like a 5spd by every respect.
