different size tires

would it cause any problems to run 225/50/17 and 235/45/17 tires in the rear.

It would look odd, but that's about it.

not really worried about looks at the moment, just if this will mess up the suspension or anything. back wheels are indepedent and spin freely right?

that's the reason i'm asking this. I put these on and they rub, so i had to go back to stock and one of the tire blew.

Only replacement tire shop had were 235/45/17 so i had to get that.

No issues.

I have 235/45's all the way around on my car.

Although I would swap the 235/45's to the front of the car...

As far as those 18's...why not just buy lower-profile tires?

Those are huge tires. That's probably why you're rubbing...

...oh. Uhm. Well, the car might feel a little sloppy and unsteady on the highway if that's the case. I'd seriously consider trying to find a matching-size tire somewhere...

So, put them away, and save up. That's what I had to do.

Or throw just the tires on here or on Craigslist and keep the rims.

Running low-pros on rough roads is not bad. Trust me, Nashville roads are terrible. You just need to get a set of tires with curb protectors on them.

yea that what im plan on doing, just wanted to make sure that having different size tires on the rear won't damage any parts.
