I'm not sure I get what you're trying to say. For a community as a whole, we have a fantastic array of tastefully-modded cars.

For comparison, go take a look at VWVortex. 9 out of 10 cars look exactly the same, bagged on a set of BBS wheels. There's no variety over there. And don't even get me started on the Honda crowd (fart cans everywhere).

No point in arguing that, you are absolutely right.

Modding is simply changing your car the way you want it. Thats want the poor guy did. He wanted green w/ chrome and zillion speakers.....thats all he did,,,,

If he put that **** back to stock and sell the system and rims seperate. He will get 6500 for it if he knows how to haggle.

he wont get that much for wheels...you know how bad wheels depreciate, especially since he has the lip painted...he's better off selling as is..he may want ot his a junkyard and get some door panels, but thats about it

i want to see his wiring to those speakers, that should be interesting

^If it's as half-a$$ed as the rest of the job it can't be good.

There's no shortage of these dummies.

And to shift pace from all the ugly, it came up in my search:
Justice league~Maxima:

It used to be a huge fad, guys are still doing it. The real kicker is the horrible interior and poor quality all around.

He obviously blew his budget on rims and paint, and had to backyard DIY the rest.

Man, there is too much hate on what other people like doing to their cars. i can see disliking the fact that its not completed, but wow....how many people you think look at us as we put HIDs, lip kits, wheels, etc on ours as our form of modifying and say the same?

You might also ask how many people see a lowered car and think that's about the dumbest looking thing you can do to a fine automobile.

Let's start counting. One...

Funny POV aside, it's not the modifying, per se, that's causing all the hate, it's poor quality modding overwhelmed by high ambitions. That's what looks ridiculous.

A meticulously modified clown car may still be silly looking, but deserves respect. A hack-job that's only attractive in the mind's eye of the owner... that's something we can gleefully and appropriately ridicule.

i whole heartedly agree....i just said that when i saw what tuner just posted...i dont see anything wrong w/ what they did, aside from not liking those styles of wheels, but those pics are outdated along w/ those wheels so the not liking the styles are to be expected....blah...either way....at the end of the day, i couldnt see dropping 6 stacks on a project like this thats incomplete. factory door panels would do so much in value to this car

I just wanted to illustrate that this outlandish set up is all over the place.

I actually don't mind the First pic I posted, he's got them tucked half decent.

The rest look like they're on stock suspension, or lifted, and that's just ugly, I don't care who you are.

The 'to each his own' concept only goes so far. That set up works on Impalas, and a select few other vehicles, it does NOT work on a maxima.

Man, with all those speakers in the doors, it's a wonder he doesn't pick up every little bit of metal along the road! Of course, that would assume that this POS actually runs!
