unfortunately since nissan changed from a 3.5L engine in the 2002 from the previous 3.0L engine in the 2000 and 2001 there arent many mods for the 2002 YET. as far as performance goes stillen sells an intake that pretty much fits the 2002. emax95 has one on his 2k2. but i think as of right now i think thats the only major performance mod available. stillen ( www.stillen.com )is currently working on a Y-Pipe and a supercharger for the 2k2s. Cattman ( www.cattman.com )is working on making a y-pipe and place racing ( www.placeracing.com )is trying to get a cold air intake out on the market. just be patient and there will be more soon. there are some cosmetic mods available though. clear side markers to replace the front orange ones and the rear red ones. maybe other 5th gen body kits will fit. ask about that one. lowering springs and such.

Sorry for my ignorance Max'n Out, but I dont know meaning of "M5,M3,Lambo". Thanks for links on performance parts, I would specially like to hear from members who have actually done changes with info on costs and benefits. Cosmetically im not to fond of rear tail-lights, has anyone done something different with them??.

m5, m3 and lambo are cars. I was just messing around with ya.

The best performance mod for a max is the supercharger. Hands down. Most power but yes it does have a price of about 3700. But then again there isn't one for a 2k2. It's my personal opinion that there not gonna make one for a 2k2 thats why I said m5 etc. Better off to get a fast car or one that you can at least have some good mods for. Since you have the 2k2 I say get the 2k tails I like the carbon fiber ones there just starting to come in and the clear apc looking ones are old.

guy at stillen told me there was a blower "in the works"

Pres, email or Private Message emax95 and ask him about his intake. he is the only one i know of with a performance mod to his 2k2. for the taillights, you can do what max'n out said. swap yours with the 2k or 2k1 SE tails if you want. they fit the same. those tails are sort of tinted where the clear part is on the 2k2. or you could experiment with yours. see if you cant some up with something creative to make them look better. get a picture of your car on the computer and play with it in photoshop.

since they are making a blower for the 2K2 3.5 V6 Altima, i'm sure they'll come out with a blower for the 2K2 Maxima too. i'm sure fabricating another set of bracket to fit identical blower in different cars will take them a while too.

Aftermarket parts

FYI, Dallas and I are looking for a 2002 Maxima to prototype our CAI, Y-pipe, and Subframe connectors. If you have one and live in drivable distance to NW Arkansas, call Dallas and set up an appointment. The mods are FREE if we use your car.

I can't believe you guys are forgetting me!!! I have the fastest known auto 2K2, and am closing the gap to fastest 2K2. Hopefully with the HKS exhaust and y-pipe, I will break 13's.

Peace,
Daniel

Front strut brace and rear swaybar - cornering is performance too. Better tires. Lighter wheels will improve your acceleration noticeably. All available now.
