Cylinder 1 misfire p0301

so my car started feeling sluggish as i drove home from work today and my check engine light kept blinking. i got 2 codes one being p1320 (ignition signal) and the other being p0301(cylinder 1 misfire). from what ive read i need to replace a coil, but is it as simple as replacing just the clyinder 1 coil? are these 2 codes related?

have you done your plugs recently? if not you may want to do that, and yes, one coil will do the trick

I asked the very same question before , Duralast is around 75$ around here , I think courtesy nissan is selling OEM one for around 95$

I would (and told to) put OEM ...

Don't waste your time with anything but OEM.

I have put on 4 auto zone duralast coils spread out between 3 different cars. The most recent one is almost 2 years old. No problems with any of them.

ok so i replaced the coil and spark plug, now, i have the code p1320(ignition signal) coming up twice instead of once before. i unplugged each clip one at a time to check if one of the plugs or coils was bad, every time i unplugged one clip the same result happened- the car juss sounded crappy and got louder. im not sure what to do now, my friend also said that i have to drive 50 miles for the code to go away, is this true or is he just bull****ting me with a random thing he heard?

There could be couple of things wrong

1) Your new coil or spark plugs could be faulty. It is very unlikely if you chose the OEM route but anything is possible with aftermarket coil or non OEM spark plugs.

2) I have had P1320 for year before I got a specific cylinder code i.e. P0305. Changing the coil on the cylinder 5th fixed my problem. I had the similar problem later on another cylinder and it took another year before I got the specific cylinder code.

3) Unless a coil is miss behaving all the time, it is impossible to find it.

4) It is possible that yet another coil is going on you. Unfortunately, they die all the time. If you have the money, replace them all; otherwise wait until you get another P030x code to find the next bad coil.

I also have the same problem but I tried different coils and replace the spark plug but no luck. I don't know what else it could be, I disconnect the battery for la an hour so the codes will be erased but when I start the car the misfire show up again and take the car to AutoZone same codes show up p1320 two times and p0301. Maybe is a fuel injector or an electric problem maybe an air problem... any suggestions? carrottop did you resolve the problem?

Swap the injectors and see if the code moves with it. Check the EGR system for blockage.
