air bag light issue

I'm having an issue with my airbag light,

I've reset it a couple times and it keeps coming back

I managed to pull the diagnostic code.

1 long light then 6 short lights

then repeat.

Any ideas what this is or where I can find the meaning of this code?

Thanks

It is always helpful to know what year your car is as sometimes things are different from year to year.

According to the 2001 service manual, the 6 blinks mean the "crash zone sensor circuit is malfunctioning". The points to check are:
1. Visually check the wiring harness connections.
2. Replace the harness if it has visible damage.
3. Replace crash zone sensor.
4. Replace the diagnosis sensor unit.
5. Replace the related harness.

The crash zone sensor is in the nose of the car somewhere, maybe in the bumper, I'm not sure exactly where. The diagnosis sensor unit is in the passenger cabin, hidden under the back end of the console.

You need to be reading the service manual, section RS (Restraint System). Sounds to me like you need a service manual. You can down load one from either of these 2 places:
