RTV silicone for lower oil pan

I need to replace the lower oil pan today. I've used this when rebuilding motorcycle engines before and, it's worked well. Can I use this with the lower oil pan, as well?

Thanks

I don't see why not. However, I don't know enough about the physical properties of the varying rtv's, so I use what Nissan recommends. Permatex 82194. It's the grey rtv which is described as being made designed for "high vibration applications, like those common in import engines." I went out and bought the grey when I did my oil pan because I only had the black and blue rtv's in the garage. I was doing the upper as well, though. The access to the lower pan is cake. It wouldn't be hard to change it if it didn't hold up well.
