you could buy the incandescent bulbs from dealer - those are direct replacement (search around here for part number) or do an LED mod

up to you

almost forgot - you could try to slightly hit the climate control in lower left corner (next to the temperature ****)- my lights come up sometimes after 2-3 tries . I'm about to do an LED mod

Yes, easy to replace. Only takes about 30 minutes or so.

Don't remember for sure...you can always take it apart to see and leave it apart. IIRC there is one bulb for each button.

Manual one has 3 bulbs. Can't speak for the Auto climate one.

Thanks. I used that PDF to swap out my bulbs. Was one of the better How To's written.

They are a 3mm LED in the passenger and rear positions.

The Master switch is a circuit board with very small SMDs. You can replace them with SMD's or 3mm LEDs, the 3mm LEDs are tricky to fit in, expecially with a resistor (necessary)

I'm not aware of any place that sells them, you can try the dealer but that will only give you a stock replacement, and I assume you want to change them to a different colour or brighten them, because I've never heard of stock LED's burning out, ever.

I can do the full window switch conversion for 2000-2003 for only $90 if you're interested.
