subwoofer and replacement problems

Recently my stock bose subwoofer stopped working. so I got my hands on a working one and i decided instead of taking evertything off i would just disconnect the cord and connect it to the new subwoofer. when i did that it didnt work... now im confused does that mean the subwoofer is not that problem? what else could it be?

Search the forum for Bose subwoofer cutout problem. Also, check your fuse under the hood.

This. It is a 15 amp fuse - # 67 - in the fuses by the battery.

In the fusebox under the hood near the battery.

If the fuses are good, then check the red wire on the sub woofer. It is the battery voltage from the fuse. The black wire is ground. If you have voltage, then check the green with white stripe wire on the subwoofer. It is the turn on signal from the head unit; 0 volts when off, voltage when the head unit is on.
