I give up....

So some of you reading this may remember me making threads about some odd codes I was throwing. ECU Rom error, fuel level sensor voltage, and intake air temp sensor. Well they starting happening right after my SAFC tune and the car ran great. Well this morning I get in my car and for the first time in a while there were no lights on. So I am thinking sweet it fixed it self, but now it is running super lean all of a sudden. I can't get any richer then 14 and around 2.5-3k it is running at like 17. I have no idea what is going on now. The car is running great still, be sides being super lean. What could be going on? The SAFC still has the same setting set on it. Do I need to try turning the points up on the SAFC for more fuel?

Any ideas would help. Thank you

I dont know how it would be normal. It's like the ecu is just disregarding the tune...doesn't make sense.

Ehh, everytime I post there I get chewed out for "not having a question advanced enough" lol

But any way, the light came back on but with only 2 codes, IAT sensor and the fuel level sensor and I re tuned the SAFC and everything seems to be fine again. The strange thing is I had to to bump up the %'s on the tune like crazy...I just dont know why my car decided to run so lean al of a sudden...ugh

Sounds like you should contact Jim Wolf...just a thought. He's local for me , and most Nissan guys know who he is.

I have talked to him before and yes, very knowledgable, but my car has been acting weird since after the tune anyway. To actually be able to diagnos my problems I think one would have to see the car in person.

Check your MAF and intake piping. Usually the cause of lean-ness. IAT code could be related to MAF and in turn be related to AFR.

Well it seems now that my engine light is out in the mornings when it is around 60-70 degrees. I did however get a new thermistor or what ever it's called for the IAT sensor on the MAF. I'll try that and see if it makes any difference.
