AE headlights vs. Ebay Black Housing headlights

So the purpose of the thread is to see the difference between the AE headlights and the ebay black housing, NOT which one would you get or what looks better in your opinion. Im asking for pictures of both on the car. I want to compare the differences between them. So if you have the AEs or the Ebays, please post them up. I've searched it around the site, couldnt find anything on this.

for some reason i think i recall the ebay ones having fitment issues, a bit of a gap between the bottom and the bumper. save money and just ae your stockies yourself. thats what i did.

You should probably ask for light output between the two as well. I'm sure the eBay headlights might be worse.

Light output from ebay pair is scattered and has a poorly defined cut off.


Spend a little more for the AE otherwise DIY it.

I know theres a few threads lingering around of how toos for this mod. I
baked them open and rubbed off the chrome (takes alot of patience, make sure you don't miss any spots of chrome like I did around the edge of the driver side light near the grill - it's all I see when I look at them now :/).

I'm having trouble finding the write up I used but if I find it I'll edit it into this post.

Took me about 1 1/2 hours per light so a 3 hour project.

With my experience for eBay lights, they fit terribly with gaps between bumper and lights and have awful output. So definitely a strong NO on eBay ones.

well i have aftermarket headlights and they w0rked0ut pretty awes0me fits perfect and the a0utput lights its the same i c0mpared my aftermarket vs my dads st0ck headlights its the same. we b0th have max same m0del
