CoryXavier Bop Plates Gas Mileage Increase

hi all

for those that have brought my bop plates i must say thank you. i was influenced by my friend Mr Dolla to produce these plates because of my engineering background and my cnc cutting experience to produce these at a rate ( $20.00 shipped ) that everyone could afford. i also have produced the first ever 7th gen BOP plates as well with more plans of producing spacer kits for 6th gen at an affordable cost. i really dont make much from the sales of these plates after material , time , hardware and shipping comes into play with it all , but my satisfaction comes from the support and the ability to see everyone enjoying this mod.

the reason im writting today is that i have noticed a side affect to doing this mod. i work about 60 miles 1 way from home and i always check what mileage im getting to the gallon as i refuel often at a rate of 3 times a week. i went from the low 20's mpg. say about 20-23 mpg freeway and after the BOP install im getting about 28 to my highest of 31.3 mpg

i would like to hear from all the people who have brought my plates as to what mileage per gallon there getting after the install of these plates

thanks

Cory

Same here. I don't mod for MPG's. The best MPG booster for me was lightweight wheels. 12-15%.

Where is the reading taken from? If it is somehow taken from the car, I'm not impressed. Also, to a small degree, running around with less fuel in the tank does improve mileage (less weight), although at the cost of total range. If you think this is BS, there are many "ECO" models that do this (the OEM installs a smaller tank, among other changes). Examples: Buick LaCrosse eAssist, Chevrolet Cruze Eco

im just showing what i stated in my first post. even running with less gas in the tank doesnt excuse the fact that i have 22" wheels that weight about 40lbs each which adds more weight than any racer would care to add nor stock wheels. i also have a 6thgen and its taken from the monitor.

its best to calculate, than to go from 'computerized readings' w/ this sort of thing. no hate, IJS.

+1...

...also continuous rolling mass will show minimal mpg gains/loss regardless of weight. Not when we are talking about wheel weight differences anyway.
