drop with 17s?

I've decided to go with Tokico Illuminas and H&R springs. I will be getting new rims next. Does anyone have 5.5gen with a drop on 17s? I was thinking of keeping it OEM sized but lightweight.

Photos?

Personally, I don't like H&Rs. They don't offer an even drop (the front will still be higher than the back) unless you only do H&Rs on the front with stock springs on the back like Housecor did.

Anyway, my car is dropped on BC Racing coilovers (stock 17's). 2nd pic and sig pic are of stock wheels plasti dipped black

Wheel arches are larger in the front.

Here's mine... my fronts were definitely lower in this picture. Tein SS coilovers.

Murdered OEM rims, red calipers, and a clownish drop? Aw man, Joel. You went from tastefully modded Maxims, to full-on Teen Racer.

What's next, a roof spoiler and a twin-loop muffler? Might as well paint flames down the side, and call it a day.

14.3#'s / wheel, 38.5 #'s / corner.

I personally do not like the look anymore. But they are lightweight. I may be in the market for a different set of lightweights soon.

I like the look of OEM TE's better but they're as heavy as my MMEV5's.

Pretty sure that's the Cattman decal, in black. Is that right, jowo9?

One, low-key decal representing for Catts... can't fault the man for that one, Hotshot.

Thanks for all of the pics.

I think that with a drop 18s or 19s look more fitting.

only reason i switched back to 18s (aside from being a wheel *****) was because of how low i was, the vibration i was getting...

18s

19s

17x8 +45 (hate the offset, but they're light) on 245-45 17's.

It doesn't matter what you say John, I think stance matters. The stock suspension leaves the front sitting noticeably higher than the back and it's just ugly. My car really isn't THAT low (25" all around). That picture was taken at ~6'4" high so it makes it look lower than it is. If you look at my sig pic, you should notice that it's actually at a pretty nice height. Also, there are a whole lot of newer vehicles with stock black wheels. You might not agree with some of my mods, but not every maxima has to look completely stock with a bunch of titanium in the engine bay to be "tasteful". You do your thing, I'll do mine

Keep in mind that every picture posted is a more aggressive drop than the H&Rs.

And if I had CO's, I'd probably come down an inch, so that the gap were more uniform between the tire and the lip. I regret not getting Tein SS last year when I bought the Blues... but that ship has sailed.

There. I said it. Clearly that's not as fun as razzing jowo9.

Look, I'm not blind... I see the gap. What I don't see is why it matters so much to (young) people today. I see it, and just don't care.
