Need help with intermitten misfires

Hey all, been having some trouble with the max and was looking for some sugestions on how to proceed. Round about 2 months ago i put the NWP Spacers in and changed my spark plugs. During this i found our little buddy oil in #5 as is aparently fairly common. So i ordered a new valve cover and new coils for the back just to take care of them. In the 2 weeks before i got around to installing the VC my car started to randomly misfire. it threw the P0300 code so no specific cylinder. i though that the coil that was in oil might be going out. It would come and go at random, never lasting more then 1-2 minutes. So i put the new VC and coils in and all is well for about a week. then it starts to misfire again. same symptoms as before. I also noticed that it would really only occur under about 3k rpm / or with the a/c on. and If i gave it a good amount of gas and rev it up that it would seam to catch and start running fine again. This makes me think possible intake leak or a bad injector. What do you guys think? i also have a new MAF on the way to rule that out.

Thanks for any help and to those that read that wall of text...

O and its a 2003 6 speed

Of course there are more than one possible cause. Since you can't isolate it to a specific cylinder yet, it is more difficult. The maf is a possibility, but take all 6 spark plugs out and look at them, maybe one will have a different appearance. Also, how old are the spark plugs, maybe its time to change them. Sensors can play a part, such as the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor or the coolant temperature sensor. They are both used by the ECU to adjust the air/fuel ratio.

I had a miss fire after installing my nwp spacers on my 02 , turned out I torqued my lower plenum to tight which caused my spacer to warp and leak . Took me a lot of trial and error and money but it was all because I rushed my spacer install.
Did you torque your down exactly to spec?
