Getting 15mpg?

I have a 02 and it seems that ever since I removed the valve, replace it with the BOP, I began to get poor gas mileage, about 15mpg?

Undo what you did and see what happens.

Poor gas mi?? Like Luvlexus101 said stop punching it tryng to see if its any faster after 4k.

Or could be that your putting your foot into it a lil bit more since you do lose some low end tq.....but c'mon 15mpg!

I don't think I even get that bad fuel mileage driving around town in 3rd at 40mph and screwing around, lol.. You gotta either have another issue, cant calculate the mpg correct, or are on the gas too much.

I also have an 02 maxima with about the same mpg but i live in new york. So i go through a lot of stop signs sometimes so I figured that's the reason. If I'm wrong please let me know.

Regardless if your doing all city driving it shouldnt be that bad, should at least get 17-18. Are you driving an auto or stick?

Are you sure you mounted everything together correctly? Did you put the little cap to close the hose that was going to the VIAS like it is explained in the instructions sheet that come with the BOP? If this is the only thing you messed with since your gas mileage went down, then it has to be related. Make sure everything is tight and there are no leaks.

I was having a similar problem, replaced my MAF and seem to get better gas mileage now. It also solved my rough idle and slow/stuttering starts on mornings.
