CAI better than Stillen Intake?

Just wondering if i should trade up to a better intake? When i got my intake it didn't seem to do much at all but incredibly improve the sound of the engine. Is a CAI going to give some noticeable power gains? Thanks

CAI may help you out in the low end a bit more than the Stillen intake does.... plus the CAI also has a nice growl to it.

Dead horse? More like the sun-bleched bones of a dead horse.

I will try to answer the best I can:

POP: Laggs you off the line b/c all that hot air rushes in.

CAI: Gives you a boost off the line b/c cool air from OUTSIDE the engine rushes in

POP: Better up high b/c at those speeds air is wooshing into your engine, and the cone intake sucks that in

CAI: Gives a cool growl. Louder than a pop ? Thats what people say.

POP: Gives a cool growl.

Sorry guys I had to be un-biased for a certain guy who just LOVES his little pop.

I'm seriously considering that back to back dyno/track run come spring.

Although, the only point I disagree with is that the pop is more a mid-range intake while the CAI is more of a low-end intake.

But do you agree that the possible cause of the POP lag could be all that hot air that rushes into the engine. And hot air is thinner than cool air therefore the engine cannot breathe as well, thus lagging it a bit ?

Can't argue with the law of thermodynamics

Sprite! Stop us!

I've never disagreed with that point. But for me, I can live with it. I even have an auto. But once I get going...

I only agreed about slight low-end loss. I never said the CAI was a better intake.
