"Service Engine Soon" light came on after intake install.

During the intake install my friend unplugged the maf sensor before
I could say anything. The sensor is in there tight. I disconnected the battery overnight and it was fine in the morning when I started the car. Then in the afternoon I started the car and the light came on again. Any suggestions besides taking it to a dealer.

Disconnect battery terminals for 1 hour, that worked for me.

doesnt matter.... the only sensor in the scoop is the temp sensor. Is that plugged in somewhere and plugged in tight?

If it's not plugged in to the scoop then where would it
be plugged in?

Thats about the only place it can plug into. Unless you have a cai... Other than that it can just be zip tied to the side somwhere if you plan on taking out the air scoop.. I would leave the air scoop though..

Do you think taking that sensor and scoop out would cause the light to go on? And the only things holding the air scoop on are the two plastic screws on top? Is that ok?

The MAF must be messed up. I know when my intake slipped off while driving, the service engine light came on, but the car could not stay on for more than a few seconds, it would just die on me because of that sensor.

The car runs great though. No problems with acceleration.

My bad I was thinking about another guy. You should just check the connections make sure the sensor is connected properly and try reseting your CPU. The service engine light in most cases has to do with sensors.
