Personally, I would stick with the same size. I've really enjoyed the Continental ExtremeContact Ultra High Performance All-Season tires.

But thats just preference. Good luck!

Hey man...

I also highly recommend Conti's. The DWS's are excellent all-season tires, quiet, comfortable, affordable.

As for size, it's usually recommended to stay with stock size.

All-seasons are a lazy compromise. Go with what is optimally designed for the conditions. In other words, snow tires for months when it snows, and summer-only performance tires for the rest.

Stock size is the way to go. Fortunately in ATL, 1 set (summer and winter) is all we need. All Performance if not Ultra works.

meh, i couldnt disagree more. we dont get enough snow here for me to justify 2 sets of wheels(not to mention no place to keep them) and with the tech in the newer all season Hi performance they work fine in all conditions..

I agree with this statement. Even though they work in all the seasons, they do a mediocre job at it. During the winter, nothing compares to a good set of winter tires and the same thing applies during the summer months. But hey if having extremely high treadwear rating is your thing, all seasons tires are the way to go.

This is what I looked at when replacing my tires. I don't require a sticky summer tire and the amount of snow we get in Vancouver can vary from none to 6-8 inchs and it does not stay around for long. The rain is the big thing here.

My choice ended up being the Goodyear Eagle GT in 235/45-17. Had them on for two years now and quite happy with them. I have yet to push them hard enough to hear them howl Dry-good, Wet-great, Snow-fair.

That sure is an interesting tread pattern. Looks pretty cool.

When Goodyear came out with their GT tire back in the early 80's, it was considered top-of-the-line performance. Super soft and grippy compound, too, so they shredded in no time. You were lucky to get 10-15k miles out of a set.

I'm sure they've improved in the last 20 years.
