Is there a safe+effective way to make clutch engaging point a bit higher on 2k2 6spd?

Hello
My new clutch (OEM Nissan PP+CL disc+Bearing+new slave cylinder) engagment/disengagment is now a bit lower than I like , may be an inch or 2 above the floor ....... However the peddle travel distance and free play is fine and it's exactly like before .... Bleeding was done more than once and peddle feel is very good ......
I remeber reading here in the forums is that some people tried adusting the clutch peddle (from master cylinder stop screw) and they regret it ? is that right ?

Thanks

Someone adjusted the pedal so the release seemed higher. But, this was from inside the car by the actual pedal.

Mine felt exactly like that right after the install. It engaged much lower than before. Now after breaking it in, its back up where it used to be with the stock clutch. Just give it time. How many miles do you have on it so far?

Isn't that where it's supposed to engage? I'm confused.

Is that where it's fully engaged or starting to engage? The clutch engages higher the more it's worn.

No prob. I'd just wait and see first before you try to adjust anything. I can't remember when mine started feeling different, but it was towards the end or after the break-in period of 750 miles.

I think that goes more for the old clutch cable setups. With the hydraulic clutches I think the pedal is supposed to self adjust, and with these cars, the engagement seems to be pretty high.
