extended redline with stock injecters? ur not getting all the powerr!
on the sentra forum where they do vq swaps and go far beyond what us maxima guys go with our motors have found out that with an extended redline with stock injectors you are not making all the power you should ... since the stock injecters max out their duty cycle in those rpms... idk if its true but this guy has a team built track car that they dynoed with and without stock injecters.... upgrading to 350z inj. will give you the most power uptop heres the thread if any1 wants to discuss lol

I didn't click the link. But unless your making around 270whp at 7200rpm+, Dek/350z injectors will be fine. Also, remember that unless cams and/or a modded IM is installed, that amount of power at 6500rpm+ is damn near impossible.

I was told you should not extend rev limiter unless you get stronger rod bolts so that you dont throw the rods. I would never do that without having that done. Some 350z injectors would makes sense as well. I heard it was even pointless to extend limiter without SSIM AND cams......so why do it if you don't have these things?

^^ rod bolts? never heard of that... i kno people that dont upgrade them and their fine... well when u extend the redline its obvious u need the ssim lol i kno u make power with ssim and extended redline...but their saying ull make power...but not all the power u shuld without different injecters

Thread title and description are a little vague in this thread.
regarding the first line in the post in the link: Stock Maxima injectors will not support 300whp... I stopped reading after that
essential1 = I agree.
in other news:
Re: extended rev limit +VQ35 and rod bolts, I'm not even going to begin, as this should be common knowledge on here at this point.
7100-7200 = Ok w/ stock, anything above that and ARP RB's seem like a good idea.

^^ ur probably thinking 300whp to the wheels ofa dyno... in this case no... they sed 280 to the wheels is most likely above 300whp at the crank...so ur actually maxing out the stock injecters

The injectors probably start to get a little warm at the high RPM's. I know at least one car (auto) That made close to 240WHP and was hitting around 75% injector pulse. Once you start getting above that it is time to think about upgrading a little to keep them cool, because yes you lose power when they are warm.

I was getting at the guys who only use EMU, or just VAFC2.....

Actually now that I think of it, in order to get what I've got, (aside from direct timing control) I would need at least an EB and a V-Manage (Z33 CVTC maps). huh, I guess I'm not as dumb as I sound or look ...

Only exception to having all of this is having the n*ts to tune by tape, sheer madness.

You realize you have Z33 injectors, albeit @ a lower FP, and 2987cc vs 3498cc (VQ30 vs VQ35) also?
VQ30DE-K: 290cc @ 3.0 BAR (FBJC100)
VQ35DE: 315cc @ 3.5 BAR (FBJC101, FWD versions)
VQ35DE: 335cc @ 3.5 BAR (FBJC100, 350z etc.)
