When getting my body kit painted, should I have the shop wet-sand, re-prime, how many coats of body color, how many clearcoats? Anything else? I,m installing the kit myself.

I would do all the prep and priming myself. 2-3 coats with wet sanding in between until there are no visible pin holes or seams. Then have a good body shop spray two coats of base, one mist of clear followed by two wet coats of clear. This should match the factory paint fairly close. If you have older paint and have been polishing it for some time, then you may want to get some 3M hand glaze and smooth the final clear coat or even wet sand the clear coat and have a final shot of clear applied for a smoother mirror like finish.
