6th gen plastics in a 5.5

So i wanted to put the plastics from the 6th gen engine bay (on the left and right side of the engine cover) to my 5.5 and was wondering if anyone has done this yet ... I know i will have to make modifications and cut the plastics some to fit, but was curious if anyone has done this mod yet, or if it would even be worth it ..

The coolant reservoir is positioned closer to the front of the car on the 5.5, next to the windshield washer reservoir. So you would have to cut an opening for the coolant, but then you would have the other empty hole there. Seems like it would take a lot of hacking and cutting to make this work.

rroderiques77 bought the 6th gen side-panels with this same intent, but it didn't work out at all.

Don't the covers just retain engine heat?

Looks different, probably might have to make some custom ones, if you want to.....

would even be worth it ..

Worth it for what? Covering areas for the odd view under the hood? I think not. Not to mention the amount of work it would take to retrofit the parts.

There is no thread, sorry. Roy and I were pm'ing back and forth abut this topic maybe a half year before he called a hard-stop and demodded his Sin City Max.

Try writing to him with your questions.

FWIW, I rather like the look of the 6th gen fender panel on the passenger side.

What the heck? Pick it up, pop the hood and figure it out.

It looks like the radiator overflow bin on the 6th gen is next to the PS fluid reservoir. There are probably other issues. Two different cars. Shame, too... it's an attractive panel.

Cause that's taking up my precious Angry Birds time

I'm sure I can relocate that tank.
