Fog Light Rewire Problems "HELP"

Hi all.

This is more stressing than I thought.
I followed the write-up on how to rewire my fog lights to come without my headlights on from http://www.shiftice.com/fog_rewire.html "special thanks by the way".

I did exactly what the pictures showed to my 01 AE. The results where that the fog lights would come on automatically when my headlights are on "I can't turn the fog lights off". They would not come on when i have the parking lights on. I checked the wiring and all, and it was exactly as the write-up so I decided to put everything back and drive home with a shame

When I was driving home, I noticed my dashboard light out, so as soon as I got home, I changed the fuse for it and all the sudden, my fog lights turn on when I had the switch on parking light. I got really excited until I switched to turn my headlights on and my fog lights won't turn on when i have the headlights on. "opposite from before".

Is there a fuse I need to check to make them both turn on at the same time, or is that part of the mod only can turn the fog lights on when i have it switched to parking light?

Oh and whenever I switch to parking light to turn the fog lights on, I hear a noise coming from my glove box. I think its coming from the relay box. What is that all about?

Any help would be appreciate it guys.

I'm half asleep, but I think you wired it wrong.

This. Go over your wiring again.

May be a simple thing but be sure your stalk isnt pushed forward....if the stalk if pushed forward your fogs wont turn on...if not definately go over your wiring again...all you do is cut the fog wire and splice it to the parking light wire nothing else so retrace your steps

Right. That one gives me a "Doh!" moment every now and then.

The high beams don't have to actually be lit for the fogs to turn off. If your headlight control stalk is pushed forward in the high-beam position, no fogs.

I have mine wired to the taillight as well. What are the exact colors of the wires you spliced?

My stalk is not on high-beam position. I think it has to do with my wiring. I did double check it tho this morning. Everything works except the low beams foglights together. I wanna look around and see if someone else has a picture of the exact wires to splice together.

Hmmm actually, could it be my foglight fuse? Even tho they turn on when I have it on parking light, but thats because one of the wires is connected to my taillight.
Not sure, but I will take a look at it as soon as I get home.

Make sure you have the correct wire setup from shiftice, He has one for 00-01 and 02-03 Maximas.
