High idle after throttle body cleaning..

So I cleaned my TB today, I disconnected the battery, and I followed the write-up here:

Here you go:

The best way to clean TB is removing it from an intake manifold. However, I always achieve good results w/out that. To avoid major damage, you should:

Unplug the MAF connector
Remove an intake/air cleaner assembly from the TB
Turn ignition switch "on" (don't start the engine)
Put transmission on any gear (6 MT)
Floor the accelerator and secure it somehow at this position (I usually push it with a long wooden stick and hang on to a metallic frame of the bottom of the driver seat)
Now you get the throttle fully open and can start cleaning TB and butterfly valve.
Use dedicated TB cleaner (AutoZone ~$3). Spray, let it soak, wipe with a soft cotton rag. Don't use a paper as its' tiny abrasive particles can damage the special coating inside of TB. Do it several times till it's clean.
Use toothbrush to reach dip areas
Don't apply any significant force to the butterfly valve to avoid damaging the servo motor (important!)
When all done you may get some MAF related code, just erase it. Also, you'll get higher idle due to the better air flow (around 700 - 750 RPM). You can live with it or perform an idle relearn procedure. However, driving in this condition I noticed, the pinging that my car usually emits is completely gone. It's back after reseting an idle

Then I started the car, the idle is around 850 rpm, and no CEL, everything is fine except the idle, so I did a Idle Air Volume Relearn.

after that I started the car and the idle went back to 725, which is what I had before the cleaning. and if I shut off the engine and start it again, it went back to 850...So what can I do now? I`m pretty sure I didnt put any force on the butterfly plate..

Ive herd guys say once your idle is correct, to unplug the battery for couple hours to save the settings. Not sure if this work, but thats one of the reasons why I let nissan clean n did the relearn for me.

UPDATE: I did all the relearn procedure and then unpluged the battery terminal for about 4 hours, after that I reconnected the battery , and the idle seems lower now, around 750-800...

yeah, if you got yours down to 750 or so, that is acceptable.

you are luckier than I was with cleaning this... ended up with a new TB and can now do the idle relearn in my sleep.

I`m now at 800ish..I can feel a little bit jerky when the speed is lower than 10mph. I think I`m lucky~ but the idle is smoother than before, so I`m happy with it~
