Header help

I know everybody is tired of all the same old threads saying the same things but I couldn't find anything on any updated information...

So my question is does anybody know where to get any headers now? OBX, etc...

I've looked everywhere online and nobody seems to have them. I've gotten a refund for 2 places because they don't have them in stock or aren't able to get them in.

Thanks

Please list which places you have tried because I'm looking for obx headers now too. I will let you know if I'm successful.

I'm sure he knows about cattman but it's obx he's looking for. From what I hear cattman is pretty much done and 850 is kind of steep for most header budgets. Don't misinterpret me, I know cattman is superior in quality.

Yeah I heard cattman was the best but it is kind of steep. I don't mind paying but I heard OBX ain't bad either for what it's worth. I saw the thread for the cattman ones but I didn't see if he had any left. I know they were very limited.

One of the sites I looked at was 2kracing. I can't remember the other but I'll post it when I find it.

Bad news, I got word from an OBX dealer that these headers are on back-order and could be as long as 2 months to hear anything. He didn't even know if they will get any more. This might be good news in the way of OBX redesigning their headers to fit better (move the rear o2 bung 90 degrees and reshape the piping so that nothing needs to be trimmed). I will post on this thread any updates. I also have an inquiry in to OBX for an ETA or status of production.

If they redesign them perfect that would be awesome! They better not go out of production because then we will have no more hope for headers in the near future.

Just got a reply from OBX. They are expecting a container to arrive next week. Unfortunately they do not have shipping list but chances are headers will be in it. He assured me that production did NOT stop on our headers. He gave me his direct number and told me to call next week for an update. By the way, these containers usually have 30-50 of each type of headers so cross your fingers that it is ours.

Aight cool. Yeah if they have them in I'm definitely going to get them if they come in. Let me know when and where I can get them

Well I talked to OBX. The container did not have any headers for 3.5. He said that they are producing more in October and will ship them from overseas to us some time in early November. Dammit! I want headers now! Guess the precat gut will have to suffice for now.

I wouldn't go as so far to say that... The last batch says diffrent. OP give it a few days looks like ebay and amazon are out right now. For the small price tag you looking for there worth the wait. performance to dollar wize you'll come out on top..

Last batch has a small problem with flange holes, more so fitment, and even then fitment was fine as far as piping etc. goes. But as far as quality, they still are superior.

you and i both know a $850plus shipping header shouldn't even have those problems...

OP get obx's and have them ceramic coated...

Pretty sure that's what he was going to do regardless of our mindless banter.

I just made a great connection with a fabricator and exhaust shop locally. I am going to bring pictures of cattman and obx headers/full exhaust systems. My goal is to let my car be the guinea pig for a custom exhaust. The y-pipe and 3" catback is all I can imagine to be feasible to fabricate but if he can create headers then great. I plan on letting him know about the demand for these parts, especially since Brian with cattman is moving on. I will update on this thread and if everything works out, then expect lots of pictures of the product and installation.

Start looking for Altima VQ35 headers...seem to be a cheaper option with little fabrication to make them work.

I already left a message to this company about producing headers for us. Waiting on a reply, Chit if there willing to give me a free set of headers, I may send them mine to replicate

Thanks everybody for the help. Yeah I don't mind waiting and seeing what somebody comes up with. Hopefully OBX won't take too long.

We all know that ...

I think he meant like finish, (grit/polish, etc), since he's totally into his new headers that he's going to sell, and they seem "shiner" than Brian's, albeit short lived.

I didn't see a coating on the last batch of Cattman's...though I thought in the past (6yrs ago?) there was an option to nickel-plate?

I could be wrong...I've only gotten older since then. LOL
