today i removed my cps and found oil in it i cleaned it out and reinstalled will check tomorrow if oil is in it. my question is is this normal how can i prevent this?

on my 96 there was no oil in the harness clip

 

my check engine light went away since i cleaned it. I was thinking should i just replace it?

 

If your car is sluggish/acting weird still, then change it. If it is back the way it used to be, just wait till it throws a code again, and set the money aside for it. It will probably get oil on it again.
