The First 3.0l 5.5???

Ran across this today and if im not mistaken it looks like a 2003 Maxima GLE with a VQ30DE in it

http://columbus.craigslist.org/ctd/2673244785.html

Something just seams strange here...

Looks like the salesman got confused on the engine bay pics.

At least the engine looks like its in "exsalant condition" and has nothing "searise" and the driver door "nop loos" is OK and no taillight "brookn."

Very confusing... the interior is definitely an interior from a 5th gen as opposed to a 5.5 gen. That exterior is unmistakably a 5.5 exterior though. Maybe he took the interior and engine bay pics from another similar listing, not realizing the differences between the model years.

If there's anybody around here from Columbus, they should go check it out to see what the deal is.

Anybody else notice the deer just chillin in the background of the first exterior shot?

My impression is that whoever owned it before (Yes, clearly interior is 5th gen) swapped over exterior parts from a 5.5gen car. That would raise a red flag for me that perhaps the car was hit/wrecked at some point and they opted to change some things. I'd look for overspray and check under the car for indications of part replacement.

You gotta look at the details. This is more than likely a total screw up by the dealer using two different batches of pics.

This picture shows a CHARCOAL GREY 5.5 gen with beige interior

This picture shows a SILVER 5th gen with beige interior

Again, 5.5 gen gauges and steering wheel

and then 5th gen gauges and sweet leather wrapped steering wheel

The VIN number indicates a 2003. So they used some bad stock photos.

Dealer/people always do this, they throw pics from somewhere else thinking its the "same" and to the untrained eye it might seem that way. I've seen this happen with 4/4.5, 5/5.5, and 6/6.5 gens where pics don't match up.

Ahh good eye I missed that, I noticed the 5th gen shifter on the interior and obviously the engine.

Its crazy that people don't do any due diligence on posting a classified ( Unless there trying to sell an old car as newer then there just strait crooks )

Shock towers are white on the engine bay pic. Clearly not the same car.

I wish this was in my area to go check out and ask him why the car doesnt match any of the pictures that are posted just to see his reaction and excuse.

nismopc and 2000_maxima_king got it right i'm sure. Mixed up pictures of a 5th gen interior (seats, shifter, steering wheel) with a 5.5 gle gen exterior (rims, taillights, headlights).

You can even tell the seats look different if you look at the interior pics and the one showing the front of the exterior.

its funny. check here how the the its has a nissan emblem and the steering wheel is clean.

then here it all disappeared but at least the bose radio has to silver buttons with nothing on it and theres no extra buttons above the cd insert so you dont hit the buttons by accident.. and the shift **** is nice and straight and easy to shift without looking what gear you are in.

but what a minute!!!! it changed?????

and where did these buttons above the cd tray come from?????

i guess its a transformer????
