How to rebuild K-sport coilovers

I searched the ORG and google and nothing

How hard of a job is this? ( For those that have done this before ). My car will soon be parked for the winter so I want to rebuilt them

I spoke to a rep from K-sport and he said all I need is the inserts, should I need anything else

Thanks

you answered your own question. if the damper is blown, order a new one and replace. just make sure when you put the new one in you grease the threads so if/when you need to replace it, it will come out easier

This isn't that hard. Basically take the coilover apart. Pillowmount, lower collar assembly and collars. Replace the insert and reassemble. Since it's all apart might as well clean them up and regrease everything.

Are they leaking oil? If not than maybe one of the collars or main perch just came a little loose.

Nope it leaked out. I thought I cut a break line, looked at the shock and it was covered in oil and grease/ dirt from the road

Damn, that's too bad. Over good roads, those coils would still have a lot of life left in them.
