Thanks bro. Hopefully this weekend. I'm going to have him deliver the car to me then we will run to the Ministry to do the paperwork deed. I won't have the car till this weekend if we can arrange it.

LOL. I'd probably SC it if I decide to boost. That will be a long thought out thing, and I have a ton of body work to do before I go after performance mods. You can come help me strip down my Maxima though And the G needs a good buffing

Damn... you beat me to it, Tuner!

Congrats, man. You finally got that 3.5 you wanted in a 6MT, and on top of that it's in proper RWD! Winning!

I'm not hot on the Black colour but hopefully it will drive me to keep it cleaner than I keep the Pearl white. Although I'm not sure I'll ever get the Black to shine like that Pearl did. Maybe I'll paint the G some beautiful deep blue colour....

I need to decide on interior colour scheme too, cause the ugly orange isn't working on a black car. It'd be ok on white or even silver. Maybe it's just not bright enough....hmmmm

You move quickly. Good for you on the G purchase. What do you mean by the "ugly orange" interior. Is it supposed to be tan? Oh, and btw, silver needs black.

LOL. I meant the illumination, gauge colour, etc. The LED modder in me is scheming already.

I'm also thinking of shaving the door handles, moulding a lip kit in, butterfly doors in the front and suicides in the rear.... well maybe not the the door part, lol.....

This is what the ugly 2003.5 looks like, (not the one I bought specifically). But don't worry, I will make her beautiful

Pics of the actual car, Matt. C'mon, we all know what a 1st gen G-sedan looks like.

Does it have the rear spoiler? My G likely won't... it only came with the Active Steering. Kind of rare. From what I've read, lots of people just buy it and install after the fact.

LMAO!!!

Yes it has the AERO package which included that ridiculous spoiler.

Maybe I can sell it to Clashez or someone on here. I'll be putting a drift style spoiler on. (like a larger M3)

P.S. Active steering? Sure sounds like another HICAS adventure..........

So is this Super Super HICAS?
I'd stay away from it personally.

Honestly, I really don't know enough about it yet.

90% of the G-Sedan 6MT's were configured with the Premier Package (sunroof, bose, heated seats, seat memory, stuff like that). The rest have the tech and nav packages (camera, nav, etc.) And then there's the Active Steering... which I haven't figured out.

The spoiler is this neat lip spoiler, instead of an aero-wing. I like it.

^That's the style of spoiler I'd like if I run a spoiler.

That's all undecided at this point. I do know I"m shaving the rear emblems, likely all of them.

BY Molding what do you mean ? something like this ?

^ Correct, moulded kit, so it would appear as all one piece.

Some sample pics of ideas

Ok, This is the spoiler, and also the lip kit I think I want for the side and rear. It's currently a toss up. Anyways here's the spoiler, and I'm pretty sure the NISMO lip kit:

This is the full STILLEN lip kit for the '03 (my year), I would likely want to only use the side skirts and rear bumper if I go with this:

For the front, I want to go with the 05/06 front end conversion and a lip. Unsure which lip, this is I believe the Stillen 05/06 lip:

If I end up getting deep into the body, as I suspect I might, I will probably mould the rear spoiler in as well, so it's like an extension of the trunk, smooth sloping type deal.

Oh wow, the white one is looking on point

The Nismo kit looks way better than the Stillen IMO. I also like the idea of molded spoiler but not the lip kit, I like the lines.

Nice plans so far

This is the spoiler that I like. Non intrusive and stylish, imo.
But I think it's only available in the later X and/ or S models.

That's a 2010+, Spock, which is a mid-model refresh of the 08-09, and a different model entirely from Tuner's 2003. The chrome lip is integrated into the trunk, and standard design on the 2008+ G, in both coupe and sedan.

In 2010 for the sedan, they redesigned the rear bumper on all models, and redesigned the front bumper for the Sport Package. Also, notice the subtle crease in the body panel in that picture... also new in 2010.

That's why I like the 2009. It has the cleaner design, but also has the new 328hp 3.7L engine. It's the sweet spot for today's G-Sedan... in my opinion.

Congrats on the G Tuner. I'm interested too see what you do about the orange lighting, a nice white or cool blue would look excellent, that orange has always been a turn off, though living with it I might get used too it.

Coilovers?

I dug out my 2009 G37 Brochure (been hanging on to that for a few years ), and have been analyzing the option packages. That whole 4WAS (four wheel active steering) option is the only way you can get the rear-spoiler on the 2nd gen Sedan. That's why the spoiler is so rare.

Then I started digging into myG37.com, and it turns out that 4WAS will compromise most after-market exhausts. It seems the less expensive and more effective route to improved handling lies in aftermarket sway bars.

So... now that's I've learned a very-little bit more, I know enough to shy away from 4WAS.

FYI.

RE: Spoiler:

Yes Spock, a mix between the integrated trunk spoiler effect and the M3 lip I posted on the white G is what I'd like to acheive. Hence "moulding" it together. All just floating ideas right now of course, the Lip/Body kit is the biggest thing I need to decide on first, that way I know if I'm getting into the moulding. That decisison will be based on the type of kit I get. If it's designed to have defined lines at the "joining point", then I won't mould it, but if it's designed to flow discreetly, I'll mould it in.

And yes, I still love the White, cant' get past it. Just so darn classy and show the lines so well. Who knows, I might paint it white.

Yes I don't know about blue though, I've had my go with it, and feel it's overdone. Perhaps Red, that'd be a good challenge. I do like Orange if it's done in a rich, almost AMBER way, which is the route I'd likely go with it, and one of my current top picks for colour scheme.

And of course I'll probably be getting BCs, not sure yet though.

That's cool that you found what you want and have it sitting in your driveway waiting for spring. Way to go, Matt.
