Pic Request of Center Dash Removed
Don't have a pic, but the ECM, as you know, above it in a little metal tray thing is the TCM, then all of the radio/hvac cluster items. Some larger wiring harnesses, and that's about it. I'll see if I can grab a pic when I redo some wiring today...
additional request?
Can you take a couple pix or a quick explanation on how to get at the HVAC and stereo.. (removing trim pieces, location of bolts, snaps, ...)? I have a couple of HVAC lights out and am thinking of trying the solder on aux input for the radio. I hate trying to puzzle through getting interior pieces apart without breaking something. I'd gladly change a water pump or something more mechanical than play with interior parts....
thanks again

Sorry, but by the time UPS guy came with my parts it was dark and I was tired... At any rate, to answer Chuck's question: here's a quick runthrough:
Park car, and set parking brake.
Defeat shift lock and put car in N or below.
Use a small screwdriver to pry up the shift area trim (wood grain on mine, the plastic crap).
Pull that up, then use a screwdriver (be careful) to pry out the side of the center vents/hazard lights section.
You will now see two screws on the top of the radio/hvac cluster, and two at the bottom below the cig lighter and ash tray. Those hold the cluster in. Take those four screws out then it's all self explanatory from there.
