Lol why.... why.cant i have firm shifts!!!! not modded firm shifts... just normal firm ahifts like a nice factory firm shift........ sorry if.this is all messy and.filled with periods.... i cant see what im typing and to top it off.. i have big.fingers for these little touch screen buttons on my phone

You think your shifts are sloppy, drive a 5AT G35/Z. You'll never complain about sloppy-feeling shifts again.

How do i know that would correct my prob? I think i have a.clogged.atf return line..... has to be .... i dunno im seriously ready to drive.this car into a brick wall.... i have.trouble starting it... it feels sloppy when taking off... it hesitates at 1500-2000rpm in n when cold and always slightly in gear when hot or cold... ive done everything!!!!! i need someone in the vancouver bc area to drive my 00 auto and i need to drive theres to determine.whats.normal ans what isnt... im losing.my mind!!!!!!!!!!!

Try to remember that you didn't buy a performance car. You bought a family car with an automatic transmission. Sloppy to you might be smooth to someone who isn't worried about spinning their tires. Get a modded valve body or a shift kit, and enjoy the improvement.

Also, why make a new thread when you just made a new thread about your dr discussion and issues?

I also notice that its super quick to upshift.... like in first cruising in a parking lot it immediatly shifts 2 second... then when i go to pull out of the parking lot it does this big downshift and.takes off.... i cant just gradually accelerate... u know what i mean ? its like my gear ratios are all off.. creating it to shift sloppy cuz.thats not when its supposed to shift.....

Sounds like you were born to drive a stick.. not an auto

Is your fluid at the right level? High or low?

It's normal for an auto to shift to 2nd quickly @ low rpm while driving slowly, (such as in a parking lot). If you don't like it, manual shift and imagine that you drive a standard.

Yea, the consolation is that you don't get left leg fatigue in stop n' go traffic. Small consolation that it is, I can deal with it. You can still have fun knowing when to manually downshift when you punch it.

Perhaps the sloppy shifts are related to worn mounts. I've come to the conclusion 75% plus of my shift issues are mount related.

Same with Accord 5AT transmissions. Resetting the ECU helped though.

One of my ex-girlfriends has an I4 4AT Accord. The transmission in that thing was horrendous.

On that same note, my buddy's girlfriend has a 5AT V6 coupe. The tranny is better, but still...meh.

If I take my G and put it in taptronics mode, the shifts are a lot firmer and quicker, but still not all there it seems.

I've got the V6 5AT sedan. In my old 1990 Accord, I could improve shift feel simply by tightening up the cable that ran from the throttle body to the transmission. It would actually chirp the tires on the 1-2 shift on anything more than half throttle the way I had it adjusted.

It isn't as bad as the Crown Vic I rented (not my choice, that's what they had available) after my 5.5 gen 6MT was totaled. And now that I've reset the ECU it is improved, just doesn't snap off upshifts like I would prefer it does, plus you have to romp on it to get it to kick down two gears at lower speeds. Otherwise it just drops one gear and lets face it, midrange torque isn't the J30s strong suit.
