5.5 gen Tein SS owners

This is not your typical question in regards to these coilovers. I already own a set and still consider them one of the best upgrades.

My question though is in regards to the dust boots on the coilovers. These dustboots are made from plastic and are torn now. Has anybody had any success in replacing them?

Subscribed on this one. I'm sure you can just order new ones from Tein though, obviously you'll have to disassemble the strut bearing and upper assembly in order to replace it.

I ordered one from TEIN got one that was way to short. Then got another that was the right length, it was more rubbery, and its already split!

Id like to find some aftermarket replacements!

I am pretty sure Tien does sell replacements but I am not liking the ones that come with the Tein SS. I would like a better option and just wondered if anything was else was available.

Just curious...

What are the diameters of the shock housing and the piston? If you could somehow retrofit a set of Ksports' dust boots onto the TEINs, they're pretty well-made.

How are you guys ripping these? Had mine for years and I'm pretty sure they didn't rip. Not a criticism, just curious. Is it ride height or driving conditions related?

Has anyone experienced their rebuild, service, downtime, etc,... when sending to Tein?

Interesting, I'll have to see how mine fair. Interested in sizing, I have to raise mine for winter shortly so If I remember I'll take shaft and barrel Diameter measurements.
