i have the underdrive pulley and k\n filter....what is the next best mod i can perform for a 15-20 h.p. increase other than a aftermarket ypipe? i want to keep it naturally aspirated too. will a stillen muffler (only)give me the same power increase as a ypipe?what about a aftermarket ecu? straightpipe?how can i catch my fathers 2k2 auto with my 2k1 se auto? i know this wouldn't be easy. the jack@$$ dealer only offered me 17 k and i payed 22,5k last may. so, i can't take that loss.

 

That high of a gain in hp you would only accomplish with a Y-Pipe

 

y-pipe is the only mod you have left besides a CAI or cone intake.

 

You pretty much knocked out all the options. SC and Y-pipe are the mods to put your Max in contention with a 2K2. A muffler isn't going to do you much good if everything in front of it is stock.

 

Ypipe is the way to go. If your worried about it beeing loud it will not be. They just sound deeper.
