I am expecting my ContiExtremeContact DWS from DiscountTires later this week.

Is it possible to get a "Road Hazard Warranty" from a local shop that mounts and balances the tires or do these stores normally offer such warranty only on tires they sell?

You should have been able to get some sort of road hazard warranty either from Continental or Tire Rack.

 

Yes, there is a one year limited road hazard warranty from Continental. But I would like to get more, which is not available from Continental or tire-rack.

I got one from Discount Tires when i had them balance my tires

 

The tire shop would have to be a vendor.

I didnt buy my tires or rims there either, I did buy hub-centric rings and lug-nuts tho... not sure if that matters
In fact they dont even make my tires any more and they said they would replace them with the newer equivalent
