I was looking to buy a Mishimoto thermostat but it says for 2003 - 2009 350z. I know alot of parts from that engine fit right into 5.5Gen engines. I was wondering if this will fit? I know the 95-99 Mishimoto Radiator fits our 5.5gen cars, just have to zip tie fans at the bottom. Getting ready to go turbo and would like to keep the temps down, trying to prepare the engine now. They say this one opens at 62 degrees instead of the 76 degrees that the OEM one does. If it DOESN'T fit anyone know where I can get a racing thermostat that opens sooner?

Go with a Nismo Thermostat made for the 350z.

 

350z fits a few different ways. The z housing needs a fourth gen lower hose. Or remove the tstat from the z housing and put it in your stock housing

 

Yeh. The Nismo 350z Thermostat is $150 and the Mishimoto Thermostat is $64 and both open at 62 degrees. That's twice as much for a Tstat that opens at the SAME temp. I think you just pay more because it has the "Nismo" name on it. All Nismo parts are priced like that just because of the name on them. That seems like robbery to me.

I'll think I'll buy the Mishimoto and remove it from the housing and put it in the Maxima. Thanks!!
