What the heck does this part do? And where does it reattach to?

Found this piece dangling from the passenger side front right behind the bumper. If anyone could tell me what it is, and where it reattaches to it would be greatly appreciated.

do you have fog lights? Kinda looks like it goes to that, but I could be wrong.

Yeah possibly a dead-head for fog light option.

Could also be an ambient temp sensor, I"m not sure where they put them on the 5th gen though

I have no clue either where the ambient temp sensor is either, come to think of it.

It looks like that bracket should have been bolted down to something, and you can see the zip tie attaching the wire loom to it.

Ambient temperature is in the lower grille area offset to the passenger side from the center.

yes,,,thats the outside temp sensor for sure...attaches to the lower inside passenger side grill

I know that's where they put it on the 4th gen, but I didn't want to say so cause I wasn't sure for the 5th. That's probably what she be then!

straighten out the bracket and get a bolt and you should be good to go.
