Part name ? or solution - Bank 2 sensor 2 stuck
Guys,
my CEL is on, and its for Sensor 2 Bank 2. I tried getting out, and its stuck. Took it to the shop, same thing. They said i need to replace that part. Question is, what is it ? it should be a single header correct ? or is that part itself seperate.
Where is a good place to buy a new header, as this is pre-cat O2.
Thanks !

re
trust me...i tried. took it to the shop.
What is the best replacement ? where can i find a replacement header/manifold. Apparently the tube that it goes into, is semi replaceable. any idea what its called ? its a headache for inspections !

I replaced mine with a generic Bosch 15727. Somehow I got the heat shield bolts out, and then it was easy to get a wrench on it. I have had them so tight that I needed to put a foot on the wrench, that always works, but on my max, it came loose without issue after soaking in a good penetrating oil.
Most vendors call it the front downstream sensor. Bosch also makes a direct fit so you don't have to splice the wiring. The generic one, part number above, sells at autozone or advance auto for $56. The direct fit one is something like $115.
ETA: I see you're now looking for a manifold - wow, that must have been some hack job, or the previous o2 sensor went in without anti-seize. Those are dealer items or wreckers, afaik. Searching the big box part store sites, googling, or amazon might also yield results. Remember to buy the gaskets, and to use anti-seize so you don't have to do that again.

If you have it out, soak it in kroil or some other good penetrant, and heat the o2 sensor with a torch, soak it while hot to cool it down, and it should come right out with a really big wrench/extension. You can even go so far as to cut the cables off the end and use a 22mm deep socket and an impact wrench at that point.

Heat is your friend. Any shop with an acetylene torch can get that out in less then 5 minutes. Heat the bung it's threaded in until it's red hot. That sucker will come out like slicing butter after it's been sitting on the counter all day.
