Z max

I went to dealer for my 15k service , and they told me about Z max. They put it in the engine, transmission, and other moving stuff. Its supposed to increase longevity by 60%. My waranty has been increased from 60k miles to 150K miles. They say this stuf is BA. Does your dealer put this into your maxes? Have heard alot about it?

I noticed dealers try to sell you these kind of treatments, it is just another for them to make money. Personally, I will not put anything like that in my car. BTW I also have 2k GXE sunlit sand, do you have pics of your car with those 18's you got?

Yeah, It came with my 15k servicing on the Max.

UMD, Why do you think it's junk? It's puts a 150K waranty on you max and if you read some articles, you'll understand why it's so effective.

Re: Z max

one of the most important things that should have come with your max is the Owner's Manual. in the manual nissan specifically says not to use any fuel or oil additives. Ever. Period.

Nissan backs and honors the Z max. It came automatically with my 15K service check up . It extends my Nissan warranty to 150K instead of 60K miles.

I'd call Nissan at their 1-800 # and see if this is true. My guess is it's either Z-max's limited warranty or the dealers limited Warranty. I would be curious what they gave you in writing...

I don't knw about Z Max, but I know for a fact that Pro Long and Dura Lube are upto what the claim, at least for me.

BTW, Japanese GT race cars put Prolong in their cars. So I guess they should work because I am talking about exotic 500hp Supra.

While zMAX is relatively new to the present day marketplace, it's not a Johnny-Come-Lately. zMAX has thrived for over 50 years, and, incidentally, under its aviation trade name AVBLEND, is the only pure lubricant that has received FAA Approval for use in all piston-driven aircraft engines. Quite a feather in its cap. I have also seen a letter from the FAA dated 12/22/00 that states "Linkite, as AVBLEND (zMAX brand for aviation use) was originally known, was Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved on January 31, 1980 for use in all reciprocating engines.

Warranty on what, the whole car? I highly doubt that.
