Need help with multimeter and oxygen sensor
I cannot find the thread on how to check to see if your oxygen sensor is bad or the connections between the ecm and sensor harness is bad using a multimeter.. I called many shops to see if they can do it but they wanna f**k first, I got one flipping code (p0057) and they telling me they gotta do all this dumb sh*t first..
If you have the P0057 code, I would just visually check the wire connections for damage and not seeing any, go ahead and change the O2 sensor.
If you haven't already, check out the "5th Gen General Information, Maintenance, and Common Issues" thread and scroll down about 3 screens. Here's the link:

Well i did replace the oxygen sensor with a bosch "DIRECT FIT" oxygen sensor and the code is back... Now, before i go out and by oem, i need to make sure its not a break in the wireing between the harness and computer or if the sensor itself is faulty.. The link you gave me doesnt give the values i should be looking for when using a multimeter to test the wires or sensor..
I'm selling both secondary o2 sensors in the classifieds. They are oem new and probably chapter than aftermarket. I'm selling 75 priority shipped for each and a better deal if getting both. Hope you can find the values so you know what the problem is.
