Its harder, but as long as you dont tint around the actually light/reflective part then you shouldnt get pulled over. If you take the easy way and just tint/spray the whole tail light then you will get pulled over eventually. Im trying to figure out a way to tint around the light section on some altezzas to just show the circular light section. It might look like crap but I dont use them so its worth a shot

The Maxima actually has a slight ridge in the lens that runs the edge of the circle (actually an oval, not circular). if you VERY CAREFULLY take a brand new sharp razor blade and gently run the edge you can cut it pretty good:

(not tinted but to show the circle)

Have you thought about getting the BlueBat overlays? They make it look similar the the SE tails I have above except without the design obviously.

Or better still, find some SE tails.....

While the light tint doesn't look bad, SE tails would still far surpass anything you can do with tinting.

I just want an overlay where the red and amber are pre-cut.

SE tails are 150ish for the pair and then I've heard the wiring is different so i'd have to purchase/find that as well.

Blue bat's stuff is precut, and IIRC, only around $15-30 for the pair.

Very good quality. I can't recall ever hearing a bad review about his products. Best part is if you ever decide to change it up, you just peel it off, no harm no foul.

Lots of guys on here have them perhaps someone can post for you to see

150? You can get them for WAY less than that. I did a straight trade for mine, but check eBay for them. The wiring should only be an additional 15 dollars at most. And don't quote me on this, but I think you can even use a different bulb to make it work. The only problem is the turn signal bulb being too wide to fit in the tail light itself.

I've seen tinted tails that look good, and I've seen some that don't. Personally, I'd find the all red tails and give them a light smoke tint. Or, if you can find the 2000 SE tails (like my car came with) or 01 Anniversary tails, that would look good too.

Figured I'd post that if it's of any interest to you. You could probably work the price down on that (it's too high), well your current ones, and break even.

lol you did the opposite of what I would have done. YOu tinted the light portion, I would have tinted the surrounding space and a circular cutout over the light left clear.

1. The censor program is in place for a reason

2. The fact that I laughed did not reflect a positive or negative comment in any regard, it was fully open to interpretation. Clearly you took it negatively.

3. Saying that you're open to all sorts of opinions good or bad, and then getting all butt-hurt because one guy on the internet laughed at a picture you posted (without commenting negatively or positively, or directly insulting you in any way) clearly implies that your opinion of being "open" to something is quite clouded.

^That's clean. man your car is sooo clean! I hope I can keep my Black G half as clean as your Maxima. And I still wish I had an AE kit..... even though I'm selling the max lol.

To the OP, seems you purchased those SE lights from the classifieds? Good call IMO, that's going to look great you won't be disappointed.

The harnesses are best grabbed at the Wreckers, especially considering we no longer have Dave B to call

explain what you meant and we're cool. i'd rather have constructive criticism to take into account for future plans then being made to look like an idiot in a semi public forum. if what you typed wasn't negative or positive, why even post it? How could your post be taken as positive? There's nothing to my knowledge that's comical about my post. Just sayin' all i was trying to do was contribute to the thread and for some reason you feel you need to pick on me like a 3rd grader.

zee lookin good as always bro
