EGR BOP

Okay I have searched the org over and over, do they make a EGR BOP for the 2000 Maxima? Does NWP make one to fit?

The reason I am asking I have hotshot headers ready to install and there is no bung for the EGR. So I am wodering if I can delete it all together, I was told if I leave the temp sensor for the EGR than I will not throw a code. I was also told to JB weld a penny to the OEM plate to block the hole.

Please Help!

Congrats on the hotshots.

The easiest solution is if you can find an 01 in the junk yard, they have a factory bop.

Thanks man. If I can't find an 01 anywhere can I just order one?

You should be able too. I've never tried to order one myself though. If not, you can use the "plate" that attatches to the EGR guide tube in your stock setup. Cut off the tube and it will leave you with a hole. Just use something to plug this hole up. Similar concept to welding a coin to the manifold for the 4th gens. I dont remember if it's small enough for a coin though.

It's part # 14713 in this picture. That part bolts to the IM, just cut off that tube and seal the small hole somehow. The other option is to just make a piece out of scrap metal you might have lying around.
