Hay all

Im purchasing an australian spec nissan maxima-tanea J31 2004 model 4sp auto. Im finding it really hard to find info on this car and modifications. Ive hit cattman up on an exhaust system but the exhaust sytem is slightly different on the american spec maxima compared to the australian spec maxima cause the chasis is slightly different. So im looking at an exhaust system for the car can anyone please help. Im trying to find info and its killing me cause i cant it seems to be all on the american spec. Even though the aus spec has the same 3.5l and i think the same 4sp auto.

Cheers Kurt

Welcome!!!

The teana J31 is closer to the US A34 maxima, I would try that "6th generation" section for more help... Even though those guys really don't know too much about their own cars.

Now based on what I've seen from your car I can't forsee why the subframe would be different on the vehicle not allowing cattman's products to work for your vehicle.

I would just try to buy some shoddy ebay parts and see how those fit, if they fit then I would move up to cattman's higher quality parts.

Anywho, enjoy your stay, we're a rough n tough group of guys in the 5th gen section.

It's based on the same FF-L platform but dimensions are different. I'd spend the money on doing something custom instead...it's close to a 6th gen but I'm sure there will be variances.

Sweet. It's a Cefiro.

Very cool little beast Nissan messed with it's a cross between the Infiniti M35 and the 6th generation (A34) Maxima.

It would be an A34 Infiniti I35, if they didn't cancel that model in 2005 here (2004 being the last model year).

I assume you're a member of Maximasdownunder.org? Those guys don't have this info?

I'd ASSume that it's the same as the 6th gen up here, but of course, there's no definites. Considering the speed freaks down under I'm shocked you can't find these answers.
