New goodies after goodies this week..

Some of either hate or love the half and half on the interior...

In other terms, my interior was black pillar down and gray pillar up...

I have hated it since day one and a buddy and I have tossed up the idea of removing the headliner along with all pillars and wrapping them...

My buddy has a business that solely deals with nothing but upholstery and car audio so he got me a great deal I couldn't refuse for the material..

I had went to his ware house and searched through all the material including suade, all leather, leapord, and so on but came across jet black head liner material.. I went and bought 5 yards of it for 10 bucks a yard and some interior paint with clear coat..

Friday came around, removed everything out and Saturday was when everything got wrapped...

I'll go ahead and let the pictures do the rest..
I did find a set of 17inch g35 sedan rims in mint condition for dirt cheap

There is a lot that isn't finished due to my schedule but the oh $h!t handles will be bolted on in the morning and visors should be wrapped tomorrow night...

I had also bought a pioneer avh-p4300dvd double din that should be here with in the next day or so and just awaiting the dealership to get the gxe dash kit I ordered..

Wow that turned out nice. You just need to do the seat belts and holder at the top of the belt in black.

So now I know who to go to in order to get some materials.

For real..

The seat belts, we are having to unstitch them, paint the holders or what ever they are called and let them set and dry...

A long process that I really don't have time for..

If some of y'all notice, the back panel is clutter free now... No sub grill, no car seat anchors, and no plastic thing over an optional 3rd brake light..

Looks great. Mine is coming in tomorrow. Get the steering wheel control module and a backup camera while you're at it.

The cans are sem... Probably the best interior paint in the market... The promoter was probably the most expensive... 35 bucks a can...

Don't the seat belts come off and through that 'holder'?

I did all the painting and the buddy wrapped everything...

Yea there is flaws here and there but I'm not wanting a show car or anything... With all this black, the interior is so much darker at night...

Heading to tritek next week for them to lay down tint...

The "holder" isn't big enough to run the belt buckle through nor belt bolt...

i'm in the process of doing this as well. i'm spraying the panels black and wrapping the headliner, rear deck, sunshade and sunvisors. the only part that's a pita is the headliner.

Headliner was easy... Make sure you have everything removed and pull the rear of the head liner down.. Once that is said and done, you can push the head liner towards the front of the car... It will unclip and fall straight down... Only pity was the sunroof visor... Basically unbolt the rear of the sunroof assembly and slightly bend the visor upwards to remove..

The trim piece isn't on the screen yet... Reason being there is a gap at the bottom...

iPod cable isn't there permently so no body get their panties in a wad...
Figured since I'm in the process for a complete system, the screen will be in and out a few times...

Next on the check list is

4 channel amp for door speakers.
Mono amp for sub.
All kicker component door speakers.
Two 10in kicker sub.
Alarm is def next on the list!!

Haha I almost puked when I saw that install. Glad you'll be installing it correctly. BTW, I'm currently selling my 4200DVD (same looks/function/everything, just doesn't have Pandora capabilities for the iPHone). They are great units, and you'll love it. I'm actually upgrading to the 4400DVD due to the slightly new interface and design.

I like the look of the all black interior and the type of material you chose to use. Now you have me thinking about doing it to my I30.
