Audi, Chrysler, and other's are going with this type of style of head light. I'm not a fan of them personally. However I can appreciate the time and effort spent to doing modifications. It's just not something for me.

Also, depending on where you live, the police can give you a hassle about it as well. A friend of mine awhile back bought a brand new Audi S4 B5, made between 99-02 (his was a 2000) here in the States, had factory HID's. Since these were relatively new in the market then, he was pulled over several times because of his lights. He actually had to go to court once to prove that his lights were factory and DOT legal.

I'm not going to lie, it looks out of place but nevertheless it is a good first start. I've been toying about the idea of some sort of similar ideas using either light pipe, lit shrouds, etc. The shape of the headlight is a big major factor. If you look at those Audis, they are swooping curves in multiple direction and the shape is much more complex and looks good with this kinda of lighting. Explore more and make improvement.

IMO, this style doesn't even look good on the newer Audi's, they went too far. When they first came out they looked cool. Now the only style of this lighting I like is the Benz's Fog lights. Everything else looks racy and outlandish.

^I don't so much mind how lexus did it though. To completely renig on my previous statement LMAO.
Clean, tucked away, and with high quality reflectors so it's not a bunch of freaking dots, it just looks like one clean emitting line.
I still don't LIKE it, but it's the best job anyone's done yet, and that includes AUDI.

Meh its like angel eyes on anything but a bmw.

..

However not quite. Just that it is a bmw thing just like the audi style leds are an audi thing.
Certain cars with the right styling can do it, others cant.

I don't mind the angel eyes and I do like the led's inside our head lamps if they are done correctly such as in this case below.

These ones have the signal light cleared, blacked out inside and the addition Halo's & LED's are mounted with taste in my opinion.

Sorry OP but the ones you have installed are too short in my opinion and mounted in the wrong location.

Ehh...Leave the halo's to bmw's. The only decent LED's I have seen on a Max was on a 7th gen..Forgot who it was but it was pretty sick.

The angel eyes I like. The LED's, still aweful. Looks like the car has eyelashes. It's ugly, tacky, and ruins an otherwise gorgeous light. If people could acheive WHITE LED's in there, then there'd be something to discuss. The off colour (blueish) is aweful, clashes horribly with the other lights, and is also illegal.

Actually I thought so too, but they come up on Amazon.com constantly/all the time. 30 second search just now, they have a bunch:

I think the guy that did the headlights chose the wrong location and wrong size of led bulbs to use.. IMO a white led strips with bigger bulbs will make it look less ricey, too many little stars to look at in this one.. and maybe he should've mount it at the bottom of the headlights instead of the top.

Home depot no longer carries them, that's the goose chase I went on also.
But Amazon.com seems to ALWAYS have them.

It's almost impossible to get WHITE LED strips without spending huge dollars, or making it yourself. Size of LED's makes little difference too, the type is what matters.

And these are LED strips, i got them from Autozone and they took some modifying to make the angle, and to make them face forward. They look outstanding in person, and like I said, they light the road about as much as the fog lights

I'm with Tseng1023. Would probably puke a little in my mouth.

i suppose that's enough flaming for this poor fella. He's not the first and wont be the last. Though, this is probably top 3 worst style in the 5.5 I've ever seen. Placement makes no sense at all.

Orange parking lights, yellow fog lights, 8000K/6000K? hid headlights, and a different tint of blue for you LED strips... That's too much.

The chap that made the ones that I posted has also installed a switch so you either have the LED strip on or the angel eyes as he said when they are both on it was just to busy. I thought that was pretty cleaver as well to install a switch for activation.
