I thought the bank one pre cat on the 00-01 was all in one built as part of the Y pipe ... on the 02-03 3.5's the pre cats are separate from the Y pipe ... hopefully someone with an 00-01 will chime in to answer your question

I'm thinking its all one unit...... looks like I'll have to get one from Rock Auto Parts.... I'm not sure if part # 40436 is for Cali emissions or if Catco part # 4014 would fit..... Hopefully someone on the forum replaced their stock setup (Cali Emission) and will so kindly point me in the right direction. Headers are out of the question.........

Do the antifouler trick. It is only $10 in parts. I have it on my 02 with headers with the anifoulers and after 250 miles still no cel.

Here is the tread with part numbers and pictures of this installed.
